Blackbox Software Inc. (“Blackbox”) is the brainchild of the company’s visionary leader, President, and CEO, Ms. Lea Hernandez, whose passion to help Filipinos secure safe workplaces and achieve fulfilling careers abroad is beyond measure. Her innate desire to assist individuals aspiring to have rewarding jobs outside our shores is tempered with an advocacy for workers’ protection from all forms of maltreatment, abuse, and exploitation at their places of destination. Our strength lies in having experienced first-hand how it was to be in an unfamiliar territory and away from families, which gave us a better grasp of the realities surrounding the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). Undeniably, the trade-offs for having huge pays, desirable living conditions, opportunities for foreign citizenship, and better financial terms for their families are the risks of emotional detachment, uncertainty of work conditions, and vulnerability to abuses and exploitation. It is for this reason that Blackbox was formed as an IT Solutions Company that will embark on a well-meaning program dubbed as PROJECT360 with the goal of providing end-to-end solutions to both private and public stakeholders in its real-time monitoring of workers, messaging, and notification features anywhere in the world. Our experienced team of IT professionals with a passion for creativity has brought together their skills, talents, and international experience in the field of cutting-edge technology to come up with mobile apps operable both for Android and iOS tailored-fit for the needs of OFWs and concerned institutions for their welfare, protection, and safety. The global trend for the robust demand of Filipino workers will steadily increase over a long period of time, because of the shortages of workforce in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Middle East, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, and other island territories. Also, it is expected that new and more markets will open for our healthcare professionals, because of the age demographics entering their advanced years in most of the first world countries. This confluence of factors has driven the continued growth of the country’s deployment of OFWs which has no precedence in history, as we have a vast pool of household workers, as well as semi-skilled, skilled, and professional workers, not to mention the worldwide preference for Filipinos, because of their diligence and commitment to their jobs. Our company has a wide range of serviceable areas that will change the dynamics of recruitment practices for overseas jobs through a reliable and revolutionary system for round-the-clock monitoring of locations, real-time data of country destinations, job demands by skills and category, and other necessary data for scientific and methodical solutions to their concerns. It prides itself for having the system capable of public or private hosting including database with optimum measures in place to protect data integrity and security. Timeliness will play an important part of its usability for all parties, may they be government institutions, Private Recruitment Agencies (PRAs), and Foreign Recruitment Agencies (FRAs), and for its ability to provide quick access to vital information.
As an individual, I believe that hard work and integrity must be paid-off with an equal respect and security – no matter where you came from, what you look like, or what is your status quo in the society. I was once an OFW myself, a regular employee, and on a top management of a corporation. I heard and I saw the struggle of every Filipino who hopes to have a brighter career abroad. On the other hand, I have seen also first-hand how challenging it is for agencies to look out for the needs of our deployed workers as soon as they depart for their jobs overseas. More so, it will be a tougher task for us to give comfort to the families left behind who need up-to-date information about their loved ones abroad. I have, therefore decided to push forward the idea that I was been conceptualizing for more than a decade.
With all what’s surfacing in the news today involving misfortunes of the Overseas Filipino Workers, an utmost desire to fulfill the idea of having a monitoring app fires up. Now is the time to make the project happen. PROJECT 360 – a mobile application that will help and allow recruitment agencies to locate, monitor, and contact their deployed workers overseas to meet their needs.
This remarkable project will have far-reaching benefits on the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), serving as a bridge between them and their loved ones. On behalf of "Project 360," it is my honor and privilege to present to you this breakthrough in our business. Sending workers to different nations will not hinder us in connecting with them. We aim to embrace the welfare or our unsung heroes no matter where their location is. Its our priority to provide a platform for them that they will consider as their safe place.
To fulfill this purpose, we endeavor to connect digitally to human hopes and to implement a vision of creating positive futures with this brighter world. Hand in hand, lets work together to give our love ones a better and safe place abroad.
